The movie La La Land wishes it was!! It's a bummer the characters aren't all that compelling here, because there's so much style to it that it feels like it really should be a lot more iconic than it is. The visuals alone make it worth checking out, but add to that the killer soundtrack and some really fun editing choices, it's so close to being brilliant that it hurts a little it doesn't quite get there. 6.5/10.
