Here are some snaps from our first few days in the Canadian Rockies. The first day we arrived in Canmore, Audrey and I rented some gravel bikes and did some exploring around Canmore, Three Sisters & finished with a trip on the Banff Legacy Trail. We rode about 30 miles that day.
On our second day, we hit up two hikes, which were both recommendations from our hosts from Paintbox Lodge & Storm Mountain Lodge. Our first hike was up to Stanley Glacier. This area has suffered two forrest fires in the last century, and its still very apparent the land & growth has suffered.
We then hiked from Vista Lake parking Lot up to Arnica Lake. This was a TOUGH hike up. If you prefer, you can make a longer hike out of this by continuing to Upper Twin Lakes. Theres also some backcountry campsites here.
