Jokes aside, this is an interesting detail to drop given that Arnold has taken an interest in Anya. Especially when you also look at Melinda's interests in occultism combined with Arnold's little lore drop about his father being the popular fortune teller from the school festival.

Compared to Arnold, Damian is pragmatic to the point of being a bit of a jerk. Hell, Anya's sass about Arnold watching too many cartoons was originally a line Damian threw at HER in regards to her powers.

So it'll be interesting to see how dynamics all play out moving forward between the kids. Especially now that it's clear Arnold is going to be a more permanent fixture in Anya's life, and HE seems to be set up to be much more inclined to believe her powers are genuine than Damian is.

The Eden kids running the mile:

Anya and Damian refuse to lose to each other so they are in the head of the pack trash talking each other

Ewen is suffering but he’s giving it his best shot

Bill because he’s more of a strength guy is in the middle of the pack

Connie because she’s believes in the zombie apocalypse/wants to be a demon hunter is one of the better students running the mile

Tertius is doing his best to impress Anya. He does not succeed.

Arnold is starting to think his ritual to make him faster went wrong somewhere.

And finally Freddy finished first blindsiding Anya and Damian in their competition. And with his big goofy smile he says good race to them.

The SPYxFAMILY, AU character designs were originally made by @ducartoon/@dugar from Twitter and TikTok, the artist who made the grown up ver. The Agent Starlight x Politician Desmond AKA Anya Forger and Damian Desmond. For the rest of the characters, I made the AU design myself as well as the dialogues.

The story:

After their final mission, Agent Starlight points her gun at Politician Desmond the one who trusted her most.

He can’t understand why the woman who once fought beside him now treats their bond like it meant nothing.

But Anya’s secret runs deeper than love or loyalty.

To protect her true identity, she’s ready to erase everything… even him.

Classical language and paranormal powers : Anya Forger and Arnold Crowley

Crack theory that I haven't seen anywhere, but I can't get it out of my head since ch95, so here goes.

We've had enough clues across the story so far to understand that there is a link between Anya's past and telepathic powers and her mastering classical language (which is not spoken anymore nowadays, according to Twilight), which recently earned her a stella :

While the nature of the link is still unclear, I can't help but question if Sensei hid other clues about this topic.

More specifically, Anya scored second, a big victory for her, but we eventually even met the kid who scored slightly better than she did in ch 95:

Moreover, he seemed particularly interested in Anya and wanted to meet her, before the dance party gave him the chance to.

Of course, it can be purely mundane kid behavior or just a comical way to annoy Damian, but still, I couldn't help but notice that mainly he, like Anya, has weirdly shaped pointed hair.

Might I even add, he has 3 horns/antennas, while Anya only has 2 (is it why he scored better ?). That's one similarity to two kids scoring well in classical language. Could be coincidental, I hear you.

Even more recently though, Anya and Yor encountered Melinda at a festival, when trying to get a fortune telling for Anya. Melinda shyly explained to Yor that it's a hobby of hers and that she believes in destiny and paranormal activities & powers, like telepathy :

However, Melinda is not super confident in her reading abilities, which is why she's not charging any money for it. But did you notice the name of another fortune teller who seems very accurate and popular, in ch107 ?

That's right : Magical * Crowley

Of course, at this point we don't know at all whether or not Arnold from ch95 is related to this fortune teller. However, I kinda doubt Sensei would mistakenly give the same name to the weird boy who beat Anya in classical language and to a popular fortune teller, when someone like Melinda, of all people, hardcores believes paranormal forces and powers are real.

Melinda who, by the way, is extremely scared of her husband who may have undergone surgery to get telepathic powers at some point.

Last but not least, we also know that fortune telling is likely to be a real thing in this universe, meaning Magical * Crowley's could have actual powers, considering Anya's family already owns a dog, Bond, who can see the future.

TL;DR Arnold Crowley from ch95 may be a kid with a strange power, like Anya is.

What this has to do with them being good at classical language, which is not used anymore nowadays, I don't know**, but I'd bet a few pennies it's going to be plot relevant.

**EDIT : To specify on what I currently imagine, since Anya's powers disappear during the new moon, maybe her powers depend on some kind of emitting/transmitting wavelengths (received by her hair horns/antennas), that could be coded with classical language (since it's not spoken anymore) ? It is a spy manga after all. x)

And if I were Endo-sensei, I'd take it a step further and reveal that she was actually hearing/reading all along people's thoughts in classical language, because that's how her powers were coded. She just doesn't realize it, because she's 4 years old, which is why most of her mistakes during classical language tests were spelling ones.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 123 Part 1... You have been warned...! 👌

[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

This multi-part chapter seems like it's gonna just some silly fun, but there's always a chance for something more to happen...!! 😉

That's right folks, we got ourselves another multi-part chapter on our hands...!! Could it be just another fun little adventure or will it have some more interesting lore sprinkled in...? 🤔 Well, we'll have to wait and see...! 😌So let's just talk about Mission 123 Part 1, shall we...? 😁

This chapter begins with Anya heading out to the bus to go school while passing by the Authens:

ANYA, YOU HAVE NO IDEA...!! 😭

I don't think that I mentioned this in the last chapter review/reaction, but I don't think that Sigmund was just straight up evil when being involved with the experiments done on Anya. In fact, just like almost every other character in this story, Sigmund is definitely a grey character, so I'm very curious to learn more about his time working for Donovan...

And speaking of being curious about Sigmund, we see Twilight watching the Authens as they go on a walk:

I don't know when it'll happen, but we all know that Twilight is definitely gonna find out the truth about Anya (and to extent Yor as well, since he mentioned that he wanted to look more into her back Mission 120...! 👀) How I feel Twilight might learn the truth is that moment he drops all of his suspensions of Sigmund being involved with Donovan, that'll be when Sigmund has one of his sinking feelings again and Twilight learns about Anya being an experiment...! I feel like if this did happen like I how I think it would, Twilight might regress a little bit and think something along the lines of: "This is why I shouldn't have let my guard down in the first place...!" But, that's just a mini theory that I have for what might possibly happen in the future, so we'll just have to wait and see if my prediction has any legs to stand on...! 😅

But enough about what might happen in the future of the series, let's actually discuss the plot of today's chapter...!! 😆 Which involves:

THAT'S RIGHT Y'ALL, WE GOT OURSELVES A EDEN ADVENTURE BAAAABYYYYY!! 👌😎

Gosh, it feels like it's been FOREVER since we last had an Eden adventure (and yeah, I know chapters with the Eden Kids aren't everyone's cup of tea, but I personally missed 'em DAMMIT...!! 😭) This time, it seems the kids are gonna get involved with another one of Eden's Seven Wonders (one was first mentioned in Mission 42, while the rest were name dropped in Mission 95), and the one Connie brings up to Anya is "the Devil Ritual in the Old School House"...!! 👀

Connie tells Anya (who forgot who Connie was 😅) that some students tried to summon the Devil so that they could become Imperial Scholars, but they got eaten by ghosts, and just from the mention of ghosts, it peaks Anya interest...!! 😎 Arnold and Tertius over hear Connie's conversation with Anya and are interested in exploring the old school house as well...!! After class, Anya asks Becky if she wants to join the investigation, but...:

She's not interested in the slightest...!! 👌😌 As you can see, Damian over hears this and didn't want to get involved because they all could get in trouble, but...:

Of course Damian can't leave "his woman" alone with another man (even though Anya is clearly only interested in seeing some ghosts 😌), so he wants to go too...!! 🤭 After school, the kids arrive at the old school house and...:

OF COURSE ANYA AIN'T AFRAID OF THIS PLACE!!! 🤣👏🤣👏🤣 THAT'S MY GIRL!! 😆

Anya charges toward the old school house without a care in the world while Damian calls her crazy, then it starts raining and everyone rushes to the haunted building as well...!! 👌😌 Once inside, the door shuts behind the kids and they start freaking out a bit because of how dark it is inside the old school house...! But don't worry y'all, Anya has a solution if they come across a ghost:

Never change, Anya... Never change...!! 👌😌😂

While exploring, the kids hear a loud noise and Connie's had enough of this spooky shit...!!:

Note to self, DO NOT mess with Connie...!! 😵

As Connie threatened the ghost to come after her and Anya follows after her, they whole group ends up seeing THIS...!!: 😱

IS THERE ACTUALLY GHOSTS IN HERE!? 😱 Or is something more sinister happening in here...?! 👀

And that was Part 1 of Mission 123, who are the Eden kids gonna call because the Ghostbusters ain't here to help...!! 👻

This was a fun chapter, though part of me wonders if this old school house has some darker things about it that aren't just ghost stories or legends...? 🤔 But since we haven't had an adventure with Anya and the other Eden kids in hot minute, it might just be an abandoned school house that some kid (maybe George Glooman or even Freddy, since he didn't seem to be in class with the others) might of snuck into the place and got stuck in there...!! 😌 Anything is possible in the world of Spy × Family, so we'll have to wait and see what Endo cooks up like always...!! 😁

Oh yeah and just a heads up... By the time the next chapter of Spy × Family comes out, my reviews/reactions to the latest chapters of Spy × Family will come out some time later on the same day that they release, or they will be postponed to the next day. The reason for this is because I have some new responsibilities to take care of (i.e. a job), so I'll be posting at a later time...! (Though, due to a lot of stuff that has happened to me in these past few months, I've already been posting later than I was before, so I guess it won't be that different of a change...! 😅)
