Cuplet - Animals
Two swans swimming in a lake, wing to wing;
The lone kakapo sings and sings it's song for oh so long.
Two wolves howling at the moon, pelts flushed together:
The single fox trots by, it's fur like noneother.
Two beavers smacking their tails in unison;
The one platypus lacking any flaw in design.
Under the alter, saying "I do", passion burning in their eyes;
Yet my words falter, for there is no trait within me that leaves yearning.
Each and every human is loveable and exquisite,
So why is it that out of multiples, I am so dull.
Maybe I am not human; for it's so alien of me,
To be less loveable than all these animals you have seen.
