St. John Episcopal Church
The rural little white church is old as Carroll. It's known for its lovely stained-glass windows and red front door that's always open. Hundreds of baptisms, weddings, and funerals have been celebrated at St. John over the years with many more to come. All are welcome here. On any given day you'll find Father Ezra, who really just wants you to call him Ezra, on his hands and knees in the garden, tending to his bees, spoiling the chickens, and washing the forgotten graves when no one is looking. Wildflowers crowd the small clergy house because the priest can't bring himself to prune the beautiful blossoms. If you find yourself on his doorstep, he'll invite you in and offer you a cup of tea and an ear to listen.
