Arrow Rewatch 2018 3x02: Sara
The Good
Seeing Tommy back in the flashbacks. He came all the way to Hong Kong to find Oliver.
John Diggle. He insists on being back on the team to help find Sara's killer coz she was family to him; just like Oliver. He tries to be there for Oliver. He and Lyla name the baby Sara. He's adorable in that end scene with his daughter.
'That is a cobalt encrypted workstation, you better not be using it to tweet.'
Oliver jumping out the window and shooting his arrow up in midair was pretty badass.
Felicity calling out both Ray for his stalking, 'you are the creepiest form of stalker that I have ever had to deal with.'
and for wanting more in her life.
The Olicity scene is probably one of my fave angsty scenes. Oliver's reaction when she says he doesn't have feelings hurt me. That was pretty mean, Felicity. He's trying to lead. 'If I grieve, no one else gets to.' And deal with his own mortality too. '...one of these days it's gonna be me.'
Felicity’s monologue is so poignant and really does make its mark on him, 'so you're just going to spend you're life hiding down here in this cave, waiting to die?'
'...life is precious and I want so much more in mine than this.'
So does Oliver, he's just not ready for what that entails.
'John, I don't wanna die down here.'
'So don't, Oliver. '
Oliver removing the bullets from the gun coz he knows exactly how stupid Laurel is.
Oliver copying Felicity with the dirt on the grave was touching.
Thea being a badass in that training scene.
The bad
Sara is dead. I hate that they fridged her for Laurel's BC arc and to reinforce Oliver's arrow only arc. I hate that they literally fridged her. They put her in a freezer. I hate that Laurel didn't tell her father. How dare she. Any sympathy I had for Laurel at the start of this episode evaporated throughout. She was absolutely awful. I get that she's grieving, but I just wanted to slap her.
Ray is not charming. He is a stalker. I hated that they had Felicity call him out on it, and then they play it off as nothing because she's just being irrational as she's grieving for Sara. Can't it be both? He bought the company she worked for. He's been texting and phoning and emailing her. That is called stalking. Harrassment; look it up. AK and MG's misogynistic hands were all over this storyline. Yuck.

Trip Down Memory Lane #29
It’s no secret that Season 6 of Arrow is leaving me beyond miserable - but now with the showrunner change I have the tiniest bit of hope. However, I still need cheering so I’m remembering times when Arrow made me happy. There was a whole lot of happy and good before I had my heart broken.
