I won an art competition!!! It’s called Art Wars, and we were given a box of mystery materials and a full sized blank door to create a piece with as many of the materials as we could in 4 hours. I did this same competition in 2022 and won third place, but this year I got first place and I couldn’t be happier about it!!! It was an amazing experience and everyone around me was so kind and supportive.
The piece is called Hold me in Limbo.
The mystery materials I used were linen fabric, nerf darts, orange traffic safety cones, garden gloves, art magazine clippings, a brown paper bag, a moon shaped sticky note, styrofoam plates, blue embroidery floss, and duct tape. See if you can find them all ;) The only materials I used that I brought with me were acrylic paint and a staple gun.
storytime: once when i was in the 11th grade my school hosted an art & music crawl that i was a part of the orchestra for. i had maybe a 30 minute break before showtime, so i took some leftover clay from the studio, threw together a last-minute addition, and told absolutely nobody.
to this day, i still feel bad for my art teacher who not only had to figure out but actively explain with a straight face to several strangers what the hell a “squinky dan” was.
Day in Fandom History: March 20…
It’s Bob vs the Art Council when he, at first, was against the idea of Gayle putting up her artwork of animal butts on the walls, deciding to stay on the walls as a form of protest until it was all vandalized the very next day. “Art Crawl” premiered on this day, 15 Years Ago.
I can't take it anymore! Edith didn't paint the underwear! I did it! What? You painted all those underpants, Linda? Oh, I couldn't help it. Those anuses were haunting me in my sleep.

An underrated scene on The Middleman (one of history's most underrated shows) that I think about a lot is Noser playing Stump the Band at Art Crawl, only he just nods sagely and says "yeah, I know it" without playing a note and the crowd gasps and applaudes.
