I've been practicing + doing some exercises so I can be more prepared for artfight. I was genuinely shocked by the improvement from something as simple as this. If you'd like to follow the same exercise or use the ref I did, it's on my Pinterest (@seangelzzz) under the art help -> anatomy section.
so my hope was to have more time and energy for free work and fanart indulgence over the Sommer but it was blatantly false. So very quick and rough paintings before going to bed is all I manage for now.
This one turned about a man, his friends and his swords, although sometimes it is difficult to distinguish between the latter two.
Ambient lighting tests with Chara!
One thing i have to practice as a budding illustrator is lighting and putting characters in different environments where the lighting can change. So I quickly did this exercise with Chara from Undertale as a base!
Admittedly i had a lot of fun with these and kind of want to do more exercises like this, maybe try to fit characters into real photos and what not, or master studies of photos!
