Its 2.17am where I am and the AM&LG is just chilling listening to a few LP's and some records from overseas... Listening to what's going down.... and we came across A band that recently broke cover in South Africa. I (MrChreeez) heard them repeatedly on 5FM's 98.0 frequency during this past week.
Foster the People is the bands name and flip... when i heard them first, I nearly had to sit down and have another cup of tea... Everything about this track is simply amazing.... from the bass-line to the random keyboard synthesized sounds they put into the track to fill it... gives it that summer feel. > when i think of it i recall summer (i cant wait for our summer!) there's an aura about this track and i think you will feel it...
The production is phenominal
The video, directed by Joseph Geiger, is also brilliant. Images of the dudes clowning around and having fun, interlaced with documentary-type 'behind-the-scenes' footage of the guys in studio...and featuring live performances, Photography shoots and muted performances of other tracks... Its TOO COOL...
A Rhythm & Blues guy myself, I can appreciate the music orchestration, the choice of instruments, the simple looped bass-line, the vocals performed on an old school vintage microphone... well.... Look click play and you'll see what i mean...
