You know something I learned about the state where Arkham is supposed to be located? One of its major manufacturing exports was/is paper! So the plethora of writers coming from the state is ironic BUT ALSO it means that Arthur is almost obligated by his state to one day gift John with a lovely journal to make up for teasing John about the detective stories!

No one can argue with me about this as I am still sick and want to imagine nice things for my boys!

Okay. He's the voice in my head. I know that sounds crazy, but it's true. I'm blind, and he tells me what I would be seeing.

He controls my eyes and my arm, basically. And we've been through a lot together.

in the series finale when the manager asks to speak to Arthur alone and John agrees to getting sent away, do you think when the manager resumes his conversation with Arthur, John’s kinda confused but isn’t sure if he should draw attention to himself so he makes a subtle hand movement, like maybe raised it slightly or spread his fingers out, just something to try and say to Arthur “hey I’m still here?” so Arthur just reassures him by casually holding John’s wrist to tell him “i know”
