Lots of slow negatives helped me loads in the beginning, lowering on a 5 count. I did them 3x per week. Best of luck!

Without being facetious, just "do" more. I'm currently working my way up to pull-ups with negatives so maybe do your 2 + 1 negative or 1 hold at the top for as long as you can for a week then try again?

Negatives, band assisted pull-ups reducing tension as you get better, and anything to just getting your lats stronger
So basically, do them lots, do as many full ones as possible and then do negatives to make up volume?
