First stab at twisted wire jewelry. The bicones are 4mm Preciosa and Swarovski, the wire is 28 gauge Artistic Wire in green, the stuff holding it in place is invisible beading cord, and this isn’t a sales photograph so I didn’t bother photoshopping blemishes out.

Wire woven pendant that I made following directions in the “Timeless Wire Weaving” book by Lisa Barth. This was an earring design that I thought would make a cute necklace.

First stab at the Braided Wire Weave/Wrap Bracelet pattern from MaxxBelle Creations on Craftsy. I inadvertently sized it a little too large for my arm, which I will attempt to mitigate later with a different clasp, but overall I think it turned out fairly well. Non-tarnish silver Artistic Wire in 18 and 16 gauges; non-tarnish bronze colored wire in 28 gauge; labradorite.

I’d hoped to add this to my Aftcra store, but my experiment in using 18 gauge copper wire instead of 20 gauge didn’t work out as well as I would have liked. The 30 gauge instead of 28 came out okay, but lord, 18 gauge is tough to bend and tougher to trim and tuck. So I’m going to see about making a new bail with more appropriate wire and then we’ll see if it’s good to go.

Wire is ‘natural copper’, which I assume means bare copper, no coatings. Stone is... enh, I’m calling it ihni stone. Short for ‘I have no idea’.

This is a practice piece and the first time I have attempted to do any reshaping or twisting of already-wrapped wire beyond the bare minimum. The twisted parts were trimmed and tucked behind the main body of the bail, but they’re too crudely tucked for me to feel comfortable giving this piece to anyone else. Like I said, practice work. Better next time, I’m hoping.

No idea what kind of stone that is, but the wire is tarnish-resistant 26-gauge silver Artistic Wire over 20-gauge.

This is the first serious sea glass necklace I made, and the item which left me wondering how to say ‘authentic Boston Harbor sea glass!’ without invoking memories of the Standells song Boston Dirty Water. It’s up for sale at my Aftcra store.

I’ve had pictures of this bracelet on my Tumblr before, but I’ve put it up for sale on my Aftcra store, because why not. Burgundy Artistic Wire, glass table-cut beads, fits me somewhat loosely so I think it should fit up to about a 7″ wrist.
