Yes, the lore on Impact (Chara) is scattered about at the moment, so I understand the confusion.W.D. Gaster is to blame for Chara’s change.The method is to be explained in Gaster’s prologue 1-2.The first part is out now, but if you read into context clues, you can get an idea of what’s going on without massive spoilers :P
