Videocalls from lockdown
My cover of "Tears in Heaven" by Eric Clapton. I've been really liking this song lately, so I thought I'd try covering it.
I recorded this earlier this morning, so it's definitely far from perfect. Juust warning you all. Lol.
The Room by A.C
Maybe it was the way the sunlight
peered in through the chestnut colored curtains
and the way it moved so gracefully upon the aged wooden floorboards
as night slowly crept in
and routinely pushed the daylight away.
Maybe it was the way the room smelled
of sandalwood and freesia
and desires and possibility
of quiet and solitude
of nothing, nothing, nothing,
and later,
everything, everything, everything.
An aroma of perfection.
Maybe it was your gentle solicitude;
the way you glanced at me
with compassionate indigo eyes
as I stood against the frigid gray wall
across the room
lost in a complicated trance.
Maybe it was the sheer possibility
permeating throughout the room
making our hearts beat faster
and turning hours into fleeting instances.
I did this portrait late last night whilst watching a movie. The lighting was pretty dim in my room, and I was seriously groggy- so it's definitely not the perfect sketch. But after adding more onto it tonight, I think it's actually pretty okay. Not perfect by any means, considering I wish I could redo the structure of her face a bit more- but I'm pretty happy with it nevertheless. :)
