Remembered today that we have an artograph.
If you don't know what this is, it's a very basic projector that you can use to blow up an image.
The way it works is that you just print out (or draw) your image on a small scale, then just place the artograph on top. When you turn it on, you're just turning on a super bright light bulb next to the paper, and it uses a mirror to bounce the image forward.
The farther away, the larger the projection will be.
The projected image is kind of rudimentary, but it still saves me hours of work every time I remember to use it. (I could have made it more legible if I'd remembered to crank up the contrast on the sketch before printing it.)
I knocked in these marks in 3 minutes instead of spending 3 hours eyeballing it, because I'm bad at scaling things up. These are less than $100 (this one is a "Tracer" artograph projector) if you find this sort of a basic model.
Hope this is a useful tool for someone!
