            𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚜𝚎    𝚒𝚕𝚕𝚞𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗    𝚜𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚊𝚍    𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑    𝚝𝚑𝚎    𝚖𝚊𝚒𝚗    𝚊𝚛𝚎𝚊    𝚘𝚏    𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛    𝚋𝚊𝚜𝚎 ,     only  the  overhead  light  above  their  dining  table  shone  bright.    kori  sat  on  the  opposite  side  of  the  circle  from  dick ,    green  gaze  unfocused  but  aimed  somewhere  in  the  vicinity  of  the    untouched  pizza    in  front  of  her.    the   seedlings  of  guilt    blossomed  in  the  pit  of  her  stomach ,   &   lips  instinctively  part ,    but  she  struggled  finding  words.     she  asked  him  to  stay  up  with  her ,    just  for  a  little  while ,    yet  she  could  not  even  contribute  anything.       ❝    although  she  did    betray  &  attack    me ,    it  was...     still  very  nice  to  see  her ,    ❞       kori  managed  finally ,    nothing  but  her  sister’s  departure  only  hours  prior  still  on  her  mind.       ❝    i  mean ,    i  did  wish  to  have  a  normal  visit  with  her.    one  where  we  could  indulge  in  the    delicious  pizza ,    or  do    the  hanging  out    at  the  mall ,    or  perhaps  even  the  beach.    but  i  at  least  got  to  see  her.     i  should  be  happy  for  that ,    should  i  not  ?    ❞
