“You know we’re both screwed if either one of us messes this up,” he sighs as he looks at the other. Sure he’s pretending to be their boyfriend all, but actually pulling it off to the point where it was believable was tough. He never really dated anyone for awhile now. He had been living a single life and enjoyed it. But, when the other had called him in need of them pretending to be their boyfriend, it actually took a lot of convincing for him to agree. At first he told the other to be honest and just tell their parents that they were single and hadn’t found that significant other yet. “You only gave me a day notice and really I feel we didn’t think things through. They probably are going to ask us all these questions that I won’t know the answer to.”

misun was known as that girl that owned the weird store on the outskirts of seoul and could often be found after three in the morning wandering around with no real destination; just the strange witch girl that left a curse wherever she walked. but why did everyone think misun would care enough to put a curse on everyone else when she already had a hard time dealing with her own? 

after closing the store, she stared one last time to the purple neon lights outside the building and she was on her way. she never knew where she was going and what the night would bring her but she trusted the moon to guide her path. she was the girl born on the full moon-- the night belonged to her.

except this time she got lost.

thinking about it was ironic and misun swore she could actually laugh at herself if it wasn’t for the fact she was getting tired and wished for nothing but her bed to rest on. it wasn’t as if she was particularly on a rush, but she hadn’t found anything in particular that she could take home, like in many other nights before she had. herbs she would find near the river, stones, even shells on the sands of the beach. that night, she had had no such luck.

that was why she had approached a girl that night, medium brown hair, skinny frame and deep brown eyes. something about her had misun walking up to her without thinking there was any danger attached to it. 

“hey,” the raven haired girl approached the other, hands on her black jacket and a nonchalant look on her face. “i’m kinda lost-- do you think you could help me out?”

            “ — everyone’s ways of dealing with things are different, some are more extremethan others. you shouldn’t judge either way.”             YES, INDEED HYEJIN’S PROCESS of coping isn’t necessarily beneficial, also it couldn’t be deemed healthy either. but compared to the eccentric people in this world she didn’t think she came close to how ridiculous others could be. so why couldn’t her friend let her mope around her apartment in her coffee stained shirt all day if the hybrid wished to do so ? ( of course hyejin would ignore the fact her trash can sitting in her kitchen is currently holding three empty ice cream containers, or how she ate all three in one sitting.) hyejin blinked at her friend for another short moment before huffing out a sigh. “this is just how i deal with things, i’m sure i’ll be better in a few days. don’t worry so much about me.”

telling haeun to not worry about her friends was a tall order. she would probably have better luck telling the rain to stop falling.

“i’m not judging, jin. and it's been ‘a few days’. have you even been eating properly?” a troubled frown is etched clear as day on her features, taking the other’s chin in between her fingers to tilt her face this way and that, keen eyes narrowing in scrutiny. “you look like you’ve lost weight, sweetheart. how can i not worry?” it didn’t help that she’d refused company up until now either, only further driving haeun into a frenzied mess of concern and paranoia. it took every bit of self-restraint to not simply show up to her apartment uninvited, arms full of everything and anything that could provide some sort of comfort. “isn’t there anything i could do to help you feel better? i can't let you mope around if it's just going to make you feel worse or fall sick.”

               after the amount of caffeine he took in that day, it was no surprise that altair couldn’t force himself to sleep. altair was secretly an INSOMNIAC, after all, especially during moments in which he desperately needed some time off. ❛ sorry for calling you up here so late, ❜ he said sheepishly at his friend. ❛ but since you’re not any better than i am . . . ❜ he raised a bottle of champagne in one hand, and two wine glasses in another. ❛ want to have a few drinks with me ? ❜

daehwan let out a. slight groan. he felt like the back of his head got rammed in with a sledgehammer. he remembered being in the club and having a bit to drink, not enough to completely forget that he got in a fight with someone over something. he was pretty sure that his friend had something to do with provoking it, and he barely recognized the girl in front of him sat over him.

over him?

daehwan looked around. he laid on a couch in a room full of scents that he couldn’t quite recognize. he looked at her again while holding his head in pain.

“ what the hell happened? ”

the station smelled like, okay - nevermind. daehwan turned his head and saw a slew of people with earbuds and phones to keep them out of an anxious situation. it wasn’t pathetic, it wasn’t pitiful, it was just how it worked now. he was the only one without his headphones in, aside from this other girl. the one directly next to him, quite conveniently.

the trains pushed along and the daily routine was the same every single day. but he never really felt like he was getting noticed like how he noticed other people, which was fine. granted, it wasn’t exactly enlightening. he took this path every day, and he never noticed the girl beside him.

as they got on the train he saw an open seat, but waved a hand for the girl to take as he grabbed hold of a pole. “ it’s all yours. ”
