Back from the hospital

After a week and a day in the hospital, it is good to be back, isn't it?

You lost weight, dear. I'm worried. At least you got hungry in the middle of the morning. It means that your appetite is back - always a good sign.

I was so happy to see you a while ago. I was even happier when you opened your arms and enveloped me in a hug. You hadn't changed, I thought. You still hug me on sight.

In those few moments I was in your arms, and my head was on your chest, I realized how much I missed those hugs. I felt... secure, safe even, in your arms. And I realized just how much I wanted time to stop, so that we could stay like that - two humans suspended for eternity in a loving embrace.

I missed you so much. Can you be mine?

I know I'm secure in Christ, but this was just... different somehow. I crave human touch. I crave those hugs.

Also, I love how, because of my height, or rather lack of it, I can put my head on your chest, right under your chin. Do you notice that too?
