The Miss World Bahamas pageant took place on July 24th and taking the crown was 23 year old Ashley Hamilton of Long Island. 1st runner-up was Miss World Paradise Island Pischia Adderley and 2nd runner-up was Miss World Cat Island Rotalya Williams. Ashley is a 6' 1" green-eyed beauty who has a bachelor's degree in history and is proud that she put herself through school by applying for and being granted scholarships. She studied at United World College in western Canada and then went to University of Florida. Her aim is to become a leading commercial Attorney and productive citizen. Ashley won the costume segment with her stunning blue feathered piece called, Long Island Breeze. She was also in the top three finalists for swimwear and modeling. Ashley likes modeling, travelling, researching, watching the Food Network. Her favourite foods are hummus, sushi and tabbouleh. She loves to watch HGTV to obtain recipes and decorating ideas. Her favourite sport is gymnastics. This 23 years old beauty from Long Island is six feet one inch tall. Ashley Hamilton has studied history in college and intends to become a leading commercial attorney. Bahamas has not achieved much success in Miss World. In past decade, the only placement achieved by the country was in year 2010 when Braneka Bassett made Top 25.
