So tell us more about Owen. It's hard for me to imagine something so slow with much personality but I'm sure he has preferences and quirks. What kind of things does he do? What does he like? Where does he sleep?
Ah Owen, Well I got him about 10 years ago. He was 4” now he’s 12” and still growing. He has gotten too big for his tank, and other tanks get longer but not wider. So now he just roams the apartment. If I put him in his tank for any length of time he’ll eventually bang til I let him out. I set his food out along with his heat lamp.
Some things about him: he whistles when he breathes, he loves pepper, he’ll eat Sophie’s food. He likes to be where the action is, he’ll migrate to where the people are. Red-footed tortoises are actually known for the curious personality. He moves faster than you think. He doesn’t realize how big he is so he gets stuck under things sometimes or knocks things over. He wants to be friends with Sophie but she’s not having it (bitch). Um yeah.
And yes I did name him after Owen Wilson.
