Not that I'm obsessed or anything. But, I don't know, when I don't like thinking about IVF or adoption (only in some cases, like a single character), I like to create Fankid specifically as biological children of such characters. And I think Mpreg in Ben 10 its funny, because I remembered it's technically canon lol

But, there's also the whole issue of people hating Mpreg and throwing hate at those who draw or like it.

The internet has this habit of forgetting the "Don't Like, Don't Read" (or Don't Look, in my case). Mpreg is a classic trope in fanfiction and art that's been around for decades; it's not like I invented the wheel now. It's striking how the concept of self-curation — the famous "if you don't like it, move on" — seems to be becoming extinct.

Tumblr, which has always been a safe haven for more specific groups and creative freedom, is now plagued by a wave of self-appointed moral police who, let me tell you... it's exhausting! Mpreg has been a pillar of fandoms since the days of paper zines and email lists. To ignore that history and want to "cancel" the trope now shows, at the very least, a lack of understanding from someone just arriving in the scene now.

If you want to explore the dynamics of a couple (or a solo character) having a biological child in a universe where biology is flexible, why not use the tools that the series itself gave you? In fantasy and science fiction, we have a "free pass" to ignore human biological limitations.

And the fact that Ben maintains his cravings for pickles and nesting behavior even in human form in the episode only proves that the pregnancy there wasn't "from the transformation," it was Ben's pregnancy. The Omnitrix only provided the means, but the one who was "pregnant" was the wearer.

In universes like Ben 10's, science is so advanced (or magical/alien) that biological reproduction between two men, two women, or of a single character, becomes just another ordinary Tuesday.

Often, the attack on Mpreg is not about the logic of the story, but about a personal discomfort with the image of the male body in a state of vulnerability or pregnancy (But it's funny how when it involves the FEMALE body...). People mask this discomfort as "criticism of quality" or "defense of the canon," ignoring the fact that the canon itself has already opened this door and left the key in the lock.

Their hatred stems from the fear that if an icon from their childhood (like Ben) can occupy that "pregnant" role, then their rigid, "el macho" definition of what it means to be a man might also be affected.
