Hi. I know you told another anon that it's not a good idea to admit you're into whump. Does the same apply to tumblr or is it just irl? I have a multifandom blog where I've never posted any whump before, and I'm not sure if it would be safe to do so. What do you think?
My opinion on that has changed over time. IRL, you have to make sure you really trust the people you tell and know that they’ll accept it. I’m out with my best friend about it. She doesn’t share the same feelings but she gets it. But I’m not out with it with my parents because I already say kinda psychotic stuff so this might really freak them out. 😂
Now, online… I was very open about it, myself, from the start. I got amazing responses. I’ve met some really great friends because of it, actually. People I’m incredibly proud to say are my friends. People who have helped me get through stuff. But you have to be ready for some people to disagree and unfollow. I haven’t received hate, myself, but this is the internet. There’s weirder communities out there. If you don’t feel accepted by your fandoms, come talk to us. Because you’ll be cherished and you’ll get a FLOOD of whump in your inbox. ♥️
