“Stop doing this to yourself,” Felicity said looking at Oliver, “She’s not hurt, you took care of her, it’s just a bump,” Felicity said holding their daughter out to him. She had been in a meeting when she had received the frantic call from Oliver. Mia has been playing when she had ran head first into the coffee table. “Babies fall when they’re learning to walk, Oliver.”
Oliver frowned, he should’ve been watching more closely, he should’ve anticipated her falling. Sure she wasn’t ready to walk yet, but at 7 months, he shouldn't have been surprised that his daughter was starting to pull herself up on her feet and trying to walk. He looked at his sweet girl, tucked in her mother’s arms. This was his whole world and he’d rip his own heart out before anything happened to either of them.
Mia raised her head and held out her arms for her father, her fingers did the grabby motion and she frowned as he didn’t immediately take her. Her daddy always took her when to made grabby hands. She reached out again began her baby babble.
“Oliver, your daughter wants you, take her,” Felicity said firmly holding Mia out for him, but Oliver still hesitated, Mia’s babbles becoming louder before suddenly they sounded like words, “Dadadadadada,” Oliver’s eyes widened in shock and Felicity squeaked, ‘Did she just,” Oliver said grabbing his daughter pulling her close as he listened as she babbled and snuggled into his chest, “Dada, dada, dada,” Felicity laughed and Oliver cuddled Mia close kissing her forehead. “She’s a daddy’s girl, I’m not even a little surprised she said you first,” Felicity said slipping her arms around Oliver’s waist cuddling into his other side as he sighed, his whole world in his arms.
