26. What's a piece that got a wildly different interpretation from what you intended
This silly sketchy one lol
The joke was that I left the subject of the arrow ambiguous, so that it could be interpreted as either Togepi or Volo being the biter, with the greater implication being that it’s both
But people overwhelmingly took it to mean I was solely pointing at Togepi, which is interesting because they also correctly identified Volo as a potential biter lol. It was just my intention that was misinterpreted
People added tags along the lines of “Op this could also be interpreted as Volo bites too” repeatedly, which was really funny to me because that had always been my intention
Like, obviously I failed to communicate the joke properly, but the punchline still somehow landed, so I’ll take it lol

5. Estimate of how much of your art you post online vs. the art you keep for yourself
Tbh the vast majority of my art is unfinished, out of context sketches, so most of it?
I really should aim to finish more, or at least post the rougher art that I make. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, and I actually think it really hurts my art. I usually obsess over getting lineart perfect, and usually end up redoing it several times per finished picture and I feel like it hurts the final product, instead of helping it, y’know? And then I do the same with shading. So often, if there’s even one part of the drawing I can’t get right, I’ll just abandon it. Which isn’t good.
My biggest art improvement goal is actively trying to be looser and less stiff with my lines, and to not obsess over every detail as much. And hopefully that leads to me posting more lol. Also a lot of my art references inside jokes or plot lines from fics I’ve worked out with friends, but never actually published, so I don’t end up posting some stuff because I’m not sure how to explain it
