Her Sword and Shield is the reason I haven't started another playthrough of Skyward Sword yet because I know I'll have to start writing it if I do 😂

It's meant to be a novelization of SS, except this is the timeline where Hyrule Warriors happened. Fifteen years before Zelda falls to the surface, Captain Link of the Hyrulean Army visits Skyloft to fend off Cia's soldiers and meets the captain of the Sky Knights, who happens to have a two-year-old son also named Link. (I wrote that meeting here!)

So this is a Skyward Sword where the Knights 1000% knew who the Chosen Hero would be (and still didn't tell him, rip). I'm also building on some of the implications Nintendo just left hanging (about Hylia's original plan, Ghirahim's origins and place in Demise's plan, etc).

The through-line of the plot is "at all costs".

Hii!! Thank you and sorry for the delay in responding! I had been asked about Compass Rose in a previous ask, and since I didn't have anything new to add I wanted to wait until after the WAT since in case something escaped the Story Outline Kiln.

In short, it's the sequel to Unbroken, where Linkle gets her own proper adventure, except Sword Spirit Four is her companion and a certain shadow wolf is the secondary antagonist. Kind of invoking the "little red riding hood" thing with Linkle and the Wolf xD

There's a whole lot I want to ramble about with Unbroken all the time forever. The one lil thing that I'm excited about right now is that Unbroken is both the sequel and prequel to my first LoZ fic, Shards :3c

This damn fic. This fic my beloved but it's going to be so long. This fic is going to be my damn Adjuration. It's sitting at 25 chapters in my outline right now and I know there's gonna be more. I wish I had more actually written to share 😭

What I can share is this lil snippet from a chapter I've titled "Speedrun Any Percent". The Chain has been thrown into the plinko board of history, landing in eras at random and mostly without their gear. This round, Time, Twilight and the (would-be) Hero of the Depths, Midori, land in Termina, years before the events of MM.

Motionless, Time asked, “How prepared for a dungeon are you, Twilight?” “…I’ve got most of my gear. Why?” “Because we need to talk to the god at the end of it.”

Ohh, Compass Rose, my beloved. It's basically just vibes right now, but here's the gist.

I say it's post-LU but really it's post-Unbroken. At a point, the Chain figures out they have a chance to edit the timeline for the better. But the timeline has two load-bearing tragedies they cannot change—canon events, if you will. One is that someone must try to recreate the Mirror of Twilight, thus making the Dark Mirror, or the timeline falls apart. The other is Shadow's death.

When Four returns home from the adventure, he unwittingly doomed himself as well (by stealing a certain quest item from Twilight's era). In the end, he seals himself in the Four Sword as a sword spirit.

Hundreds of years later, between the Twilight Invasion and the War of Eras, a phantom wolf haunts the forests near the Village of the Blue Maiden. The Linkle of this new timeline goes to investigate and eventually finds the Four Sword Sanctuary, where an ancient sword spirit waits to help save an old friend.

Basically it's an alternate timeline of Four Swords Adventures! I put Linkle in the FSA era as a fully-fledged Hero (of the Compass Rose), but she got sucked into the War of Eras in the original timeline. This time, she gets to do her own adventure for real.

Rings sat down on the chest, rubbing the bridge of his nose. “Do I want to know what ‘on the surface’ means?” Link chuckled nervously. “I mean…well, here. I’m from a place called Skyloft. In the sky.” “Oh! The Captain told me about that,” Sailor said, plopping down on the bed next to Link. “I didn’t get to see it—Mask and me joined the war pretty late.” “I’m sorry you didn’t get to see it.” Link smiled at Sailor. “It’s beautiful.” “I’m sure it is, but let’s stay on track,” Rings cut in. “This is some Time Shenanigans shit again. Sailor, I know you’re a Hero—Ravio said as much. Cape, I’m guessing you are, too.” Link flinched. “I—” Rings cocked an eyebrow at him, eyes narrowed. Link tried and failed to swallow past the lump in his throat, absently massaging his right arm and flexing his fingers. Those like you.... Those who share the blood of the goddess and the spirit of the hero.... The words uttered by a dying god drifted through Link’s head. He would never be able to forget them, as much as he would have liked to. They were seared in his mind by lightning.

Ah yes, the one I have the least work done on. The no words only vibes one xD

In my unhinged Zelda Lore Stuff, the Fierce Deity Mask was created when, uh, Majora made a mask out of FD's face (petty revenge for FD doing the same to Majora).

So you've got the FD having lost his form, and then little Link shows up to kick Majora's ass in MM. To grant FD a form, Link lends him his identity (which ultimately leads to Link being forgotten from history and Hero's Shade'd).

So the fic would be drabbles from the FD's point of view, from Link beating Majora to eventually getting Lost in the Lost Woods. Something like that? No thoughts only vibes xD
