Do you have any advice for drawing buildings? I've been working towards starting a comic but I've always struggled with getting so caught up in trying to make the perspective look right that I get bogged down and stiff.
Hello!
I’m also trying to learn how to draw buildings and city backgrounds and get better at it.
One big tip I can give is to take photos yourself! Whenever I see an interesting building, I take a photo of it! And thus I build a reference folder for what kind of buildings to do.
For perspective, I heavily recommend to draw your scene first without any perspective grids. This way you get more organic results and don’t get caught in following the grids. Once you have the sketch, apply the grid and fix what is needed.
I’ll also give you a link to this video as it explains what I know and even more how to do perspective tricks in photoshop.
