GUESS WHO.
It's Been a While
Hasn't it? I am indeed still here, mortals. Go on, indulge me with your burning questions. I would so enjoy hearing from you all again! And I just know you all would love to hear from me. Painfully yours, You know who
Welcome back. Any tales from the travels you'd care to share my good sir?
Dear mortal,
Oh, the stories this devil could tell…
Most of my time has been preoccupied with my patients and unlocking even more secrets of my craft. Did you know that the human toenail causes just as much pain being pushed in as it does being pulled out? Remarkable.
I did manage one tiny little planeswalking jaunt over to Ravnica once again. It turns out that Ravnicans handle pain even WORSE than Innistradians! Who knew? I didn’t.
This discovery inspired me to try testing pain methods on subjects from different planes to catalogue the varied results, and I plan on making further trips across the Blind Eternities very soon. Perhaps the environmental factors of each plane creates differing tolerance levels? Being able to combine my craft with my unique abilities could prove quite fruitful indeed.
Beyond these new advances, I have been quite well. However, something seems to be looming large on the horizon, and I cannot quite place the feeling of unease that’s taken residence in the pit of my stomach.
Only time will tell.
Painfully yours,
Tibalt
The Angels are acting up...
Our resident winged vermin are acting a tad stranger than usual. Angrier. More... Vengeful. And is that RED on their wings? Curious. I will be wary of future developments. It looks like Innistrad is about to get a helluva lot more interesting.
A man after your own heart on a plane called Domenareia once built an instrument he referred to as an agnophone that use needles made from a substance called flowstone to make any numbers of victems scream to make music. Do you think you could rig something similar up?
Dear mortal,
Oh? But the agony of my patients is ALREADY music to my ears!
Regardless, this sounds like an interesting device indeed. I would have to draw up some blueprints first to see how I would coax specific “tones” of pain from my subjects. Perhaps I could link a different needle to each pain receptor to get certain notes? I’d have to try every single pain receptor and catalogue the precise sound that it induces. Sounds like fun!
Definitely something I will begin work on, if only as a way to amuse myself in my free time.
Painfully yours,
Tibalt
How is the wine in Innastrad? Do you partake?
Dear mortal,
Most of the fine fluids of Innistrad are consumed by the aristocracy, and as such I do not partake in them. I find the stuff vile to the tongue, though pleasing to the eye, and would not recommend it unless you have a very… Particular pallet.
Did I mention that the aristocracy of Innistrad is about 99% vampires? Yeah. That’s a thing.
Painfully yours,
Tibalt
It seems you have returned....
As the Multiverse's attention turns once again to my humble plane of Innistrad, I cannot help but be overcome with giddy delight! Who knows what new horrors will spring forth from the coming events? What sort of cruel terrors will sprout from your respective expeditions into the dark unknown? And just think; I'll have so many new guests to entertain! So many new patients, so many new experiments to perform! So do stop by the lab some time. I think you'll find all sorts of interesting things to learn. I eagerly await your return... Painfully yours, Tibalt
