Oh man, i think Dear's reaction to witnessing someone being transphobic in public would be much less composed when compared to Sweetheart's.
Dear straight up socks people in the face if they piss him off. So transphobia is leading to a physical altercation if the person being transphobic isn't a senior citizen or a small child.
For the Beloveds, I know you’ve mentioned that you don’t want to take away from Bitterbat and Sweetheart’s relationship, but do the other Flavored Four still pursue relationships with the rest of the Beloveds? Like even if it’s not explicit shown, do they still end being in romantic relationships with each other? I’m just asking in case I want to draw fanart with them and don’t want to misinterpret their relationship!!
The Flavor Four have romantic relationships with their respective Beloveds, but they all love differently.
Red-Hot and Dear could easily be mistaken as friends since they aren't the mushy lovey dovey type and they basically flirt by sparring.
Sourpuss has a big ole crush on Baby and is very obvious about it. To many it seems like a one-sided thing but Baby has a soft spot for them. It's just that she has a lot going on emotionally so she isn't good at expressing love...or any positive emotions really.
Halite and Honey are probably the most straight forwards romantically where they both are into each other. Halite doesn't flirt heavy since he's more polite and has more restrain than the other three members of the Favor Four but serenading Honey with his keytar isn't out of the question.
SO BASICALLY - Red-Hot, Dear, Sourpuss, and Baby are all in a "Will they, won't they" situation while Halite and Honey are very much just a matter of "WHEN ARE THEY GETTING TOGETHER"
If one character from “Beanstalked” and one character from “Glitter and Guilt” had a crossover fight scene, which characters would you want to see throwdown?
Pin and Dear because both use their fists and have a lot of repressed anger.
It'd be moreso entertaining than epic since they'd be swearing up a storm with ungodly insults.
It wouldn't be professional level either bc both are street fighters. It'd get messy quick and someone would def be yelling Worldstar in the background.
What type(s) of anime do you think your ocs would watch?
I'm gonna answer with Glitter and Guilt AND Beanstalked characters for this (sorry Nova and Pluto but I dunno WHAT y'alls tastes would be like) SO this is gonna be a little long
Glitter and Guilt
For Sweetheart, I view her as being a magical girl fan as well as enjoying some of the more action oriented ones. So if she finds an action filled magical girl anime (where they flex their budget during fight scenes) she is a happy girl.
Bitterbat latches onto whatever Sweetheart enjoys but I also see him getting interested in monster taming and battling anime like Pokemon and Digimon.
They both have some meta tastes in anime because I think it's funny.
For Dear, he's a shounen fan. He binges them like junk food and gets into "Who would win in a fight" debates with his brother that wind up escalating to them both getting into physical fights. I see him getting Redhot interested in all the battles and over the top attacks.
Baby enjoys a ton of anime so she bounces around but her big favorites are any horror and bloody anime. She likes the stuff that leaves you having to watch some puppy and kitty compilation videos afterwards.
Honey is a slice of lifer. She likes all the mundane stuff flipped into funny situations with a bunch of lovable characters. She enjoys when there's a romantic aspect, especially the slow burns.
As for Red-hot, Halite, and Sourpuss - I see Red-hot enjoying shounen, Halite enjoying slice of life, and Sourpuss liking monster taming anime.
Beanstalked
For everyone's Earth counterparts (aka the Modern AU) I see Jack enjoying adventure anime. They typically have the right amount of a fantasy slice of life and action so he gets the best of both worlds
Nana is tricky but for some reason the concept of her being fond of psychological thrillers is sticking with me. She'd also like the dark fantasy ones.
I think Pin would hate slice of life ones unless they were really funny. He'd get too irritated at the character's decisions to finish an episode. If you sat him in front of an action anime with tons of flashing fighting, you have a better chance of having him finish the whole thing.
Kai wants some feel good anime. He doesn't want any sad endings or tragedies. So he'd probably stick to slice of life anime since everything is relatively in the realm of safety.
Ashe likes the goofy anime. I dunno how to describe 'em but she is the type to enjoy some Osomatsu San or Crayon Shin-chan (I have watched neither of these but they have Ashe energy).
I know the magical girls wear shorts under their skirts but… Is Dear forced/made to wear a skirt like the rest of the crew? If so how does that make him feel?
Dear's outfit actually has him wearing modified shorts with the "skirt" split open so it's kinda like a coat tail behind him.
I have to draw an update of his design so they are look more like genuine shorts but he's chill with his charmed outfit as, in my story verse, charmed (aka magical girls/boys/enbies) wear outfits that are specifically magically tailored how they themselves would like to dress.
There's no "OH MY GOD I CANNOT BELIEVE I AM WEARING A SKIRT THIS IS SO EMBARASSING I CAN'T BELIEVE I HAVE TO DO BATTLE IN THIS" jokes in this magical girl story because I just never found those jokes funny.
I just wanted to say, that I love how far each Beloved’s design had come while still having the core elements of the originals.
But what really sticks out to me is Dear. Like look at the dude’s growth - from being a little magical girly to magical MAN. (Or magical nonbinary, but magical man felt funnier to say).
You’ve just come so far with their designs, and I can’t wait to see how much further you can go!
🩷🧡💚💙
Thank you!
Dear is nonbinary with a masc lean so while he is chill with a they/them, he greatly prefers he/him and being called variations of boy, man, guy, dude, etc. It gives him a big validation boost.
I thought it'd be fun to put a little bit my own flavor of enby in my magical girl team, which is why I tend to refer to the Beloveds as a "Magical Team" instead of a "Magical Girl Team" since Dear doesn't identify as a girl.
Originally he was going to be the token tomboy of the team but I thought it'd be funny to have the token tomboy grow up and realize "Oh wait I'm not actually a girl in the first place".
