Himuro-kun what kind of girls do you like? 😶

i won’t make this a monologue type of answer since I love Himuro from the bottom of my heart and because I just love explaining love interests of complex characters, i hope you are not mad!!Let’s start off with Himuro’s looks and personality.Himuro is surely one of the most beautiful guys in our beloved kurobasu anime, that is not questionable, but, there is so much more to him. Many people think that just because someone looks good that they have had billions of relationships, but that’s not the case with Himuro. He is a down-to-earth guy, realistic and objective of himself and his surroundings. He knows about his looks and he isn’t overconfident because of it, more so that it bugs him. He isn’t praising himself to the skies, he is doing the opposite actually, he puts himself down for not being good enough. Since he was a kid, he played basketball, almost every day, either with his friends, Kagami or Alex. Fact is that he never managed to surpass Kagami, can you imagine the pain he felt? He is a determined and disciplined person, but all that didn’t help him against his brother and rival. We saw Himuro when he cracked (I’m speaking of the conversation between him and Alex before his game with Kagami), and that was not the usual sweet side of him. That lead me to the conclusion that Himuro actually isn’t that innocent and sweet as everyone thinks. Sure, he is charming and polite and all that, but when people are on edge, they can’t control themselves and show “another side”. Himuro is patient, obviously, as he we can see in his friendship with Murasakibara, but, when that patience runs out, it gets uncomfortable. He is the bottle-everything-up kind of person. After the game he talked again with Alex and apologised, and it was not because he should have, it was because he really felt sorry for his actions. When Haizaki showed up, he protected Alex as much as he could have and injured himself, that was an act of his selflessness. He would do everything for his beloved ones. Soo, now to answer your question.Himuro is mentally strong but even he has those moments when he just wants to show someone his vulnerable side without them thinking less of him. His partner should be someone caring, understanding and someone who would constantly remind him that he doesn’t need to be the best at everything, that he shouldn’t overdo it with basketball and that he is perfect the way he is. To him it would be of significant importance that he can trust his partner and that it’s the other way around. He wants someone honest and someone who will like him for being Himuro Tatsuya, not the “pretty boy of Yosen” or the ace of their basketball team. Also, it wouldn’t be bad if his partner was a bit romantic and cheesy, those little moments with them would mean the world him. He is a fan of PDA (public display of affection) because he is used to it from his time in America, and he would want to be able do do it with his partner. If his partner was shy, he would respect it but wouldn’t stop there, he would slowly break their shell because he sees that also as an love confirmation and he needs that.
