Something wicked this way comes || Hogwarts AU || Ch 3 - Pranking the Gryffindors

It was the morning after the Welcome Feast and Melinda stormed through entrance to the Slytherin Common Room, behind a stone wall. She whipped past the slightly green lamps and stopped in front of her friends. 

"You won't believe what those bloody Gryffindors were saying!" she shouted to her fellow seventh years and any other housemates who happened to be sitting near them. "I was coming back from breakfast to get my things before heading to Potions class and I overheard some of their fifth years telling our second years that they're losers and that there's no way a bunch of cheaters could win the Cup this year!" she scoffed in pure indignation. "Can you believe the nerve of those stupid lions? Calling us losers and accusing us of cheating! And naturally the second years were still too scared to fight them, so they resigned to give them a sassy answer and walk away." 

Melinda's lips started to form an evil smile and she twirled her wand on the tip of her fingers. "I was thinking revenge is needed. We can surround them before Potions and attack! Let's call it a ... friendly prank", her smile became more twisted.

"Who's with me?" her eyes gazed to her fellow students.

Something wicked this way comes || Hogwarts AU || Ch 2 - Sorting Ceremony || Open

The students poured into the Great Hall, their bright faces grinning at their friends as they all scrambled to find a seat at their House tables. The professors sat at the head of the Hall as they had each year, overlooking their magical pupils. There was already a stool with a ratty-looking hat on top of it; Mel, like everyone in the room, knew exactly what that was. Or rather, whom.  

Melinda walked in cheerfully, arms linked with two of her girlfriends. It always felt comforting to return to Hogwarts. She looked up at the enchanted ceiling and felt her breath being taken from her, even though she'd seen that same view of the sky with all of its shining stars every day for the past six years. It was always as stunning as the first time. Mel hugged Mimi goodbbye, who headed to the Hufflepuff table, and turned with Gabbi, Mimi and Melinda to head to their own House table. The table was a very long, wooden rectangle and thousands of candles floated above it, casting a truly enchanting glow on the students.

The seventh year and her friends picked a seat by the nearest end of the Slytherin table, next to a couple of other seventh and sixth years. That would allow them the best view of the Sorting Ceremony, and Mel was so excited! She couldn't wait to see which first years would be placed in her House, and she just hoped they'd be fun people. She talked happily with the people around her while they waited for the first years to be brought in, and she was honestly feeling a bit emotional: this would be the last time she ever saw the Sorting Ceremony, and it would be her last Start of The Year Banquet. Mel shook her head slightly and adjusted her green headband, unwilling to show that kind of emotion in front of some less-than-besties Housemates. The students continued to talk above each other, and everyone told and retold the tales of their summers and joked with one-another. Mel could tell that some Slytherins weren't in the room yet, so she knew the first years wouldn't come in right about now. She was loving catching up with her friends, but she was also hungry and tired from the train ride, so she was getting a bit impatient. Hopefully everyone would be in soon, so the ceremony could officially start.

"Something Wicked" Hogwarts AU

I decided to make (2D) Doof, (2D) Melinda, myself and Heinz, in that order, as Hogwarts students ((for our AU)). 

Melinda and I would be wearing headbands!! And she's not a Death Eater, she drew that herself for shock value. 

Also, here are the twins, Karl and Carla! Sadly without her pigtails.

Doof and Heinz, I struggled for a while trying to decide if I should give you different hair or not. I decided to because, well, Doof's hair goes up and Heinz's goes more sideways, and to me they're different enough. Melinda, yours couldn't be different from mine because there wasn't another option that looked even remotely like our hair. And obviously THE FREAKING HEADBANDS ARE MISSING AGAIN. D: And Doof, I added your eyepatch myself. =X

Karl and Carla, glasses were a paaaain because there were like, three choices. And for Carla's hair, there were no pigtails, so I figured ... she wasn't ready yet? Or just decided to let her hair down for a day. Karl's hair also isn't as curly as I'd like it to be. 

Everyone's noses made me unhappy, too, but whatever. Other than that, I like how it turned out. ;) I don't mean to complain so much, I just don't like to make other people and then make them badly, but I had to work with the choices that were available.

I hope you guys like it too and don't think I made bad choices and put you in outfits you'd never wear. ;)

Karl

Snowy, is that you? 

Wow, you anons are really interested in my relationship with the second dimension people, aren’t you? I haven’t gotten a single question about anyone from my own dimension.

Karl (@alt_Carl_Karl) is … well, how do I put this. I like him. I like him a lot. Sometimes I even look at him like he’s my little brother. 

But he frustrates me so much! It’s a bit hard to explain; he constantly makes bad decisions, really bad ones. But that’s not even it, everyone’s entitled to messing up. The problem is he knows he messed up, he can see a solution staring him right in the face but he refuses to make things right for himself.

He’d rather sit back and get fired or even doomed instead of just taking a simple risk. He always says he can’t do it, or thinks someone doesn’t want him to, and that makes things bad for everyone around him. And it drives me crazy. I’m done trying to help him or giving him advice, he’s kind of past the point of no return for me. If he isn’t helping himself, why should I? 

Of course, I’m talking about helping him with his boss and his personal relationships, that sort of stuff. If he had a problem and needed me I’d be there for him. 

Having said all that that, Karl’s fun to hang with, surprisingly. It’s almost like showing a new world to someone who’s been locked up his whole life. And convincing him to try anything even remotely fun is always hilarious. ;D I won’t lie, I bug him kind of constantly, but in the long run it seems to get him to open up and enjoy himself, so. 

I kind of wrote an essay, again. Sorry about that. Anyway, I love Karl, I have a great time bugging him, but his attitudes frustrate me and I wish he’d act more mature sometimes.
