Herbology wasn’t rocket science. Remus quite like the subject, his mum had a big garden, where she explained him how things worked and she always showed interest in magical plants, so Remus was studying for a herbology O.W.L. Or rather, he tried to. Because even though the subject was far from difficult for him, it was very very difficult to concentrate with Sirius sitting across from him.
When Remus read the same sentence for the fifth time and still didn’t understand it, he began to regret having asked Sirius to come to the library with him. What was he thinking? Why would he take the person that distracted him the most along to a study session? He really was beginning to lose his mind under the pressure of the exams.
He sighed and looked at Sirius as he leaned back and stretched his long leg. It brushed against Sirius’ under the table and Remus jumped, even though he himself was responsible for the contact. He giggled and shook his head at his own silliness. “Oh my god. I’m going mad.”
Remus then planted his head back in the book, forcing himself to read it again, and again if he had to!
