You’d think after the many hours and crawling around airducts, Alison would’ve learned via trial and error to be more careful in those things. But no, slipping and falling onto a loose vent to the duct, caused the vent fall to the floor beneath it as long with Alison herself. Laying against the floor for a minute, she took her time to push herself up to snap back from the realization that that just happened. Getting up and dusting herself off, she looked back up to the vent. It was too tall for her to even jump up into it and there was nothing she could quickly move in front of it to use as help, as far as she could see atleast. Grunting in dissatisfaction she checked her surroundings out before picking a way to go where she may find a way back in. It wasn’t before long that she heard sobbing,,,, yelling would’ve not been the first but genuinely someone in distress? Alison was seemingly intrigued, the building seemed very empty, maybe someone who worked here found their way in here. She let her sense of hearing to lead her the way, it wasn’t long till she cautiously found the source, almost giving herself up she quickly went from being in the line of sight of the man to hiding behind anything that would cover her well. Peeking her head out, it was hard to see the man with his hands in his head.
There had been a loud clanging sound, like metal or something of the sort, in the background causing the Groom to peek an eye out from between his fingers. Nothing, no one, just the lingering feeling of being lost and alone. Condemned in this place without anyone to love or care for. How long had it even been since the riot had started anyway? Hours probably and within that time Eddie had forked up a sum of 40 plus failed ‘brides’ all strung up to the ceiling.
Taking in a deep breath and sobbing one last time before he finally dried his eyes of whatever tears remained, Eddie straightened himself up though he still seemed slightly hunched. Unaware that someone was lurking in the darkness, Eddie stood up and dusted himself off taking in another deep breath. Only then did he notice something odd in the air, a smell that was like no other as his eyes looked around.
“Is that you sweetheart? Have you come to me finally after everything?” The groom's tone was soft and affectionate almost if it wasn’t for the faint croak in his voice from the sobbing.
