Do you think it’s possible that the Utapri anime could have a 5th season?

I certainly don’t think it’s IMpossible, but I’m not really sure where the anime would take things. The SSS story is already done and I feel like four seasons + the movie encompass everything pretty well. If they continue, they’ll probably have to create a new plot, and with three groups now, it may be difficult to give everyone sufficient screen time to please everyone. (I would like to take this time to remind everyone that Haruka is not going to “choose” anyone, this will never happen or else many fans would be outraged) I think the two next big things that most JP fans are still waiting for are 7th Stage and Dolce Vita (the next visual novel), which was announced several years ago but is yet to be released or even talked about in detail. Heavens will make their first game appearance (I’m guessing as supporting characters), and my hope is that they’ll eventually get their own visual novel. If this happens, there will be enough material to borrow for a future anime season. I’m sure everyone will probably want more of the anime, but it might be difficult to move forward until 7th Stage happens (or doesn’t happen) at the very least.

What sort of merchandise would you prefer the Shining Store to have the in the future? For me, I’m big into Stationary, so I wouldn’t mind like a pen set featuring the different groups and their colors. I also think like a laptop case would be pretty fun for them to do too. Maybe UtaPri hand sanitizer bottles? Just a thought.

Right now my number one request would be solid perfumes of the Idol Produce Fragrances. Last year's All-Star Shop generated a ton of interest in the perfumes, and sadly I couldn't take orders for them because of the restrictions on shipping liquids overseas. Also, $60 per bottle is pricey when you like more than one scent, so solid versions would likely be more affordable.

I'd also like to see Bluetooth headphones and Airpods, even though I personally prefer wired ones. And while I'm not really counting on this happening anytime soon because of travel restrictions, I think it would be nice to make travel goods like suitcases and duffel bags!

Lastly, I just want more Heavens merchandise because I've adopted Shion as my latest favorite and want to collect more of his items!

Hey sooo do you know how things are going down for the 7th Stage? Do you think ticket lotteries are gonna re-open when the new dates are announced? I really wanna go but it all depends on getting tickets (and also the corona situation)

Nothing like this has ever happened before so I have no idea what they'll do...

It would absolutely be disappointing for the people who won the previous lotteries if they canceled 7th Stage. I'd be pretty devastated if I bought a huge stack of DVDs to increase my chances, but at the same time, no one forced those people to gamble all that money away, and another person may have already bought the same number of DVDs and ended up with nothing. A lot of unfair things have happened to everyone due to the pandemic and 7th Stage possibly being cancelled should be no exception.

That said, they already announced postponement to 2021 so there's still a chance that it's still on. It's possible that they may shift current lottery winners over to the new concert dates and resume with ticket sales as previously planned.

I don't know how things will work out for any overseas attendees. The means for overseas attendees getting tickets is--for lack of better words-- already a somewhat dishonest one that involves using other people's contact info as one's own, so if they somehow change the system to overseas fans' disadvantage, I wouldn't be surprised.

Overall I think they want to reschedule with as little disruption as possible, so I'm guessing/hoping they aim towards the end of 2021 when they won't have to be so concerned about reducing the number of seats. I'm also hoping that they'll allow the concert to be broadcasted online and not blocked overseas.

First of all, thank you for being a proxy service for international Utapri fans. I really appreciate it! I am likely going to order in this next go around because the art got me. So my question to you is, as both a fan and seller of merchandise, do you find it easy to make friends with other Utapri fans? Or do you consider the interactions more transactional?

To answer your question, I think the ability to make friends highly depends on how you're involved in the fandom. If you do art, you may get noticed but you'd probably have to do the reaching out. Cosplay is difficult...some people are competitive and don't care to befriend people who cosplay the same character, or if they have a friend who cosplays the same person they don't see a need to link up with you.

All of my interactions with Japanese fans are through an account specifically for trading, so it's purely transactional. I only have one Japanese friend who used to live in America and even she hasn't easily made friends with most fans here, although she does have friends from her doujin/fanart circle.

I think a lot of fans just have their small circles and we often end up not mixing much because everyone is focused on the idols. There's even the concept of fans who don't befriend or associate with people who have the same favorite character, although not everyone admits it. Personally I don't have a preference but with my own friends, I don't share more than one favorite character and none of us collect a lot of trading goods, so there's no conflict.

Re: Puroland - How big were the acryllic stands? I'm guessing the can badges were the same size as they were normally. You mentioned the can badges were so nice, how did they design the can badges for the Puroland merch? Did it have sparkles or something like that?

The acrylic stands are 17cm tall (the chibi ones about 10cm tall) and the can badges are actually 75mm wide, so they're of the bigger variety rather than the usual 57 or 54mm. They also had a star pattern hologram which is absolutely gorgeous! I'll have to post photos later, but if you're on Twitter you can see some of the merch in the live I did a about a week ago! Sanrio x Shining Live Q&A?

Anyone still here on Tumblr? If so, anyone have questions about the Shining Live collab with Sanrio characters? I went to Puroland this past Saturday (first time!) so I'm open to answering anything!
