Yes I rewatch previous seasons or just scenes from previous seasons. Also, you watched the new reboot right from this year??
sorry this took so long! i was literally finishing the ask as i was running out the door. xD
i did! oh my god, Oldbie. but only reblogged a few posts so as to not ruin the end and why it made me cry.
though one of my favorite things is whenever JD returns to Sacred Heart is how part of him always reverts to that resident he was. he's still Bambi, still wants to be that person who takes care of people - but ultimately knows he can't save everyone, and still does what he can. he finally got his "mentor" (in so many words) admission from Perry, and teaches these interns in a way that Perry taught him but in his own way. he still messes with turk and 'their children'. ("i will turn this hospital around!")
do i miss the girls names and insults? and the overall looseness of the original run? yes, of course! a woman - A DOCTOR - flashing their breasts to patients would never, ever happen in a real hospital! two patients had spikes in their vitals and later on Elliot is sitting with Turk and JD, barely one beer in, telling them she has magic breasts. a hospital would never allow their doctors to use replacement words (bajingo, shwing-shwong, dookie), mock patients, give them strange nicknames, spend little time teaching and more time berating, etc. not that i know of at least.
now they need a new way of teaching and that's why they brought JD in. why Perry chose him. because Perry was his mentor, he did teach him and chose him because JD cared about these people as much as Perry did. (had said so multiple times) who else would he trust them with?
wow this got way longer and rambly than i thought it would? xD
to end: i'm glad so many originals came back! can't wait to see more of Neil Flynn and really hoping for some Ken Jenkins and free muffins for life.
end #2: reading this a second time (actually awake and not sleep deprived) i realize it sounds problematic in some ways. i'm sorry if it does, or if i've offended. i'm not always great with words especially when trying to describe.. anything.
maybe the easiest way to say it is that i'll miss the nostalgia of the age when we watched tv and got snacks on commercials (had an argument with my 11yo nephew how 'ads' and 'commercials' are literally the same thing once) and yelled at by our parents "YOU'RE NOT OLD ENOUGH FOR THAT!" and had to record it to watch later or wait for the rerun later on that night or the next day.
so again: sorry if this offended anyone. and yes, i did have to do and reblog this; OCD is wild sometimes.
