It was a silent battle, one that only became noticeable to the lancer due to his observant nature and familiarity with both; experiencing said emotions and having witnessed them on others before. Over the elephant slide, Karna remained quiet, waiting patiently for the inner fight Yan Qing was having to come to an end, waiting patiently for the other to emerge victorious. Now whether said victory was going to be shared or not with Karna was a different matter.... With his gaze lost over the orange colored clouds that were begining to taint the sky, the silence that was being shared between the two servants broke down like a fragile mirror. Yan Qing had succesfully conquered his melancholy. And surprisingly enough, he decided to share with Karna his victory.
Lonelness. So that was what was weighting down his heart.... Loneliness... he rummaged through that emotion that despite his half divine origins, he has not failed to experience.
