I think they allowed Carina to "quit" before they fired her. Not a good time to be risking your job so that wasn't very smart of her.
She didn’t quit. I think they were nice and allowed her to say she quit. Reading the Hollywood Reporter article, WB pretty clearly showed her the door. I’m guessing WB/CW was probably not excited about what she was pitching for season 3, (she was so hellbent on including covid and focusing on racist white cops in a police department on a sci-fi romantic drama on the CW) but creative difference, as she claims, is not why they ultimately parted ways.
There was obviously a myriad of unprofessional behavior, but the final straw appears to be when she bit the hand that feeds her. It’s funny when the whole thing happened with ITV, I remember telling a friend that Carina obviously didn’t understand that she was expendable. If Aaron Sorkin, one of the most decorated and celebrated screen writers of all time, can get fired from a show he created that was critically acclaimed, at the top of the ratings back when ratings were king, had the highest income demo of any show on television, and had won 4 Emmys in a row for Best Drama, can get the ax, any showrunner/creator can be fired.
Of course I’m talking about The West Wing. Sorkin was fired at the end of the fourth season after continually getting scripts in late, causing weekly budget overruns as well as assorted unprofessional set behavior.
And let’s face it Carina running Roswell New Mexico, ain’t on the same level as Aaron Sorkin running The West Wing circa 2003.
No showrunner is untouchable, and Carina behaved as if she was. During BLM protests she posted very critical things about WB and CBS and then her wildly stupid, overly emotional, and very public condemnation of an important, new distribution partner in ITV. Would you still have a job if you were constantly publicly criticizing the people who fund your paycheck? I wouldn't. And clearly Carina doesn't either.
Holy batshit crazy! Laura has been stirring up shit all day with the Jen unfollowed Lana nonsense. I’ve checked repeatedly and Jen is still following her. Go down about fifty or so in her following list. Lana is there. It got so bad Jen responded to a fan apologizing for crazy Laura’s behaviour. I guess if your delusional enough to believe Lana and Jen are in a relationship, making up other shit is easy.
Okay, I have a lot of anons on this, so here I am at lunch, eating at my desk, and I actually went and looked at JMo’s twitter, and it looks to me like JMo is not following Lana. I have no idea what you’re seeing, and I don’t know when she unfollowed her, other than I thought it was a long time ago.

I think the drama is just the fans and the way they’re acting. I think Jen responded in a very easy and open way, no drama actually from her.

I’m not sure what you’re looking at, but I don’t see that JMo is following her. Not that it matters in the scheme of things, but I’m not sure what you’re looking at that I’m not seeing.
As for Lana’s fans being a detriment to getting jobs, I think you’d have to really know how vile they are in order for that to be a factor and most pros are not that entrenched in fandom and the ones that think they are, really aren’t. I think Lana’s lack of work is only on her.

They’re projecting their own sexuality on her, because she became their self-insert in their Lana fantasies. You know how crazy shippers can get. They want their ship so badly that the line between fantasy and reality blurs and since they got zero satisfaction from canon, they look to get their validation from the actors.
It’s really gross and appalling and they’ve done it forever. That’s partly why they can’t accept her relationship with Gerardo, it ruins their self-insert and means they were wrong for the last 6 years when they insisted she was closeted.

Actually I’m also interested in a quite a few other things in 6b (and we know how I only watch for CS.) I honestly do want to know what the deal is with Wish!Robin and how they are going to play that out. If we have to have Lana on screen, then having Regina tied to Not!Robin for an arc we know will end is probably best case scenario.
Then RB is a bit intriguing as well. If they are pit against the heroes cause their spawn wants to kill Emma it creates quite a few opportunities for some interesting tension. Plus the Black Fairy.
And David wrestling with the dark side, bonding more with Hook and chasing his father’s killer? Yes!
All in all I think there is a lot to be excited for.

Actually, I don’t believe Deadline ever said that. The headline of the casting notice for Sam and Hank said: ‘Once Upon A Time’ Casts Duo For Mental Hospital Arc
No mention of S6. They definitely overstated what they knew, but it could be argued that two episodes can form an arc.
Deadline can be sensational, but when they quote Channing Dunghey on a day when we know she is available to the press and talking about the things they are quoting her about, I have no reason to believe they would be inaccurate about it.

I will say those are two different things. “Being unfair to her” vs “cheating.” Selin is a lying, abusive, selfish, manipulator. So it is impossible for anyone to be unfair to her. She doesn’t deserve respect, kindness or consideration and she definitely does deserves anything and everything horrible that’s going to come her way.
As far as cheating, I suppose technically if they’re still “engaged” when Serkan kisses Eda (and that’s an “if” because we have no idea yet) that could be considered cheating, just by definition. However, I don’t care, I don’t judge, it doesn’t matter and doesn’t ding the character or story because Eda and Serkan are being conspired against and manipulated by a couple of conniving psychos, so anything either of them do to escape from these childhood friends they thought they could trust, but can not, is entirely justified.
