Hands moved to tighten the black scarf that had been wrapped around the individual's neck. Unlike most days, long arms were not bare. A leather jackets had been selected to ward off the cold weather. Coffee colored hues could easily be considered guarded as pastel pink lips moved to form a thin and unwavering line. One that could give someone the correct impression that feelings of impatience and dissatisfaction were being experienced. Suffice it to say, the particular location was one that had created mixed feelings.
Of all places in Rosewood, the one that the youth had the least desire to return to was the DiLaurentis house. If made to describe the estate using one word, complicated would be the choice word. No, the layout was not complex or hard to get used to. It was more so the owners that made the place so complicated. Too many memories had been made with the youngest member of the family. Some were good, others were less than pleasant. However, the supposedly alive blonde was not the only person who had lived in the house and had been involved with the former swimmer's life at the same time. Though few people seemed to remember, Maya St. Germain had called the piece of land her home once upon a time. It was the very place where the former girlfriend's body had been discovered on the night of a big revelation. The thought was not only sobering, but disheartening as well.
The distinct sound of heels clicking against concrete forcefully shattered the reverie that had just taken place. All thoughts of the past and present house occupants were shoved away. Turning around, Emily's gaze fell on a shorter figure. One with a strong penchant for deceiving people. Despite the most recent 'gifts' from A, seeing the fashion conscious individual alive was hardly a surprise. Maybe those items had been sent by Mona herself. Eyes narrowed slightly as a sign of anger and mistrust. While the Vanderwaal might have been discarded from the A team many months ago, trust could still not be placed in the fellow student. It probably never would be able to be given to her. The information that the other resident had over stepped by saying some harsh things to Spencer was the current reason behind the anger that was being felt.
"Before we do this, let's get this straight. I'll know if you're playing double agent and I won't hesitate to do what I would have done to you at Spencer's house the night of the fire. Speaking of her, you had no right to talk to her like you did the other day."
