On the couch, you see Jungkook lying down, his face illuminated by the glow of his phone screen.

When he hears you, he turns his head. “Good morning,” he says quietly. He looks tired, but there’s a small smile on his lips.

“Why was I in your room?” you ask, stepping closer to the couch.

Jungkook puts his phone down and tilts his head. “Because you asked to?” he says, sounding confused, his brows furrowing.

What?

You asked to sleep in his bed? What was going on?

“Did we…?” You gesture vaguely between the two of you.

Jungkook sits up straight. He looks alarmed. And confused.

“You don’t remember what happened?”

I came across these pictures on Pinterest and they reminded me of Starry Night Tae from the Flashback 🤭

You are so right — that’s totally his vibe. Cool, effortless, everyone’s crush, high school heartthrob.

But let me tell you, when I looked up younger Tae pics for the chapter banner, I was harshly reminded that this is very much a work of fiction. In almost every early photo, he’s got crazy hair, insane outfits, doing some weird faces — or worst of all, those old Snapchat filters. So yeah, even fucking Kim Taehyung’s younger self had his awkward phase.

To be completely honest, the chapter is mostly written, but there are still a few parts that need some work. I’m a very slow writer to begin with, and lately I’ve been struggling a lot with writing in general. I am doing my best to finish it, though, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to post it within the next two weeks.
