i love that you draw people just a bit yucky and squishy looking. it makes them feel so real while still being stylized

MAKES ME INCREDIBLY HAPPY THAT YOU SEE IT THAT WAY! I LOVEEEEEEE ADDING WRINKLES AND BLEMISHES ON SKIN ESPECIALLY. I love using little lines to indicate that stretchiness of skin and I love drawing flabs and sags and sharp indications of bone/muscle and all that "gross" stuff.

Especially now that I'm way deeper into pokemon I love thinking of the characters as everyday people just caught up in not-so-everyday circumstances. Happens to the best of us you know... helps me digest the story way better And lets me add my own flair of real-world compliance to it all...

I just looooove picking the immaculate mundanities of the fictional worlds I like—no matter how otherworldly the media actually tends to be—and spreading them all across. And this usually starts with characters' physical appearances as I am a visual artist obviously. It brings me comfort and grounds me to imagine characters as being just as imperfectly human as we all in the real world are. You know? Wellllll❤️this whole Thing just means a lot to me as you can see from the ask-to-response ratio here... thank you so so much :) :) :)

Oh my god I wish I knew lol I don't think this is about what they are in canon because believe me about that I have substance that nobody can refute me on. I think it's more about strange parasocial entitlement like Um I followed for this why are you drawing slop that I didn't follow for. And that's funny because I've never not been multifandom? And also, I'm a person. My interests change as everything does. If you're not willing to respect my personhood alongside my art it's better for both of us that you stay far away from me. Hear me out hear me out: Gi-Hun and Jung-Bae as Pokémon trainers.

DID U EXPECT ME TO GO CRAZY WHEN YOU SENT THIS. I HOPE U DID. BECAUSE I DID. I DID GO CRAZY

Jung-bae is a steel type trainer (cuz of the mechanic stuff at Dragon Motors, but his main pokemon empoleon is also part water type which I found to be fitting because of his affiliation with the Marines), Gi-hun is an electric type trainer (again, mechanic, but also the symbolic qualities of electricity as in power-light-speed etc… his main pokemon is a luxray because I remembered the cat he fed in s1 and so wanted to give him a cat pokemon. A big cat at that!)

And the second drawing is because I realized both their main pokemon are gen 4 pokemon… you know who else is gen 4? LEAFEON AND GLACEON! And I just reallyyyyyyy really needed an excuse to draw them with eevees. Husbands and their weird old cats who look like them for some reason. THIS WAS A BLAST TO DRAW AND THINK ABOUT… THANK YOU!
