hey!! What are so far your overall thoughts on Jane the virgin?

I haven't really sat down and thought long and hard about it (yet???), but I adore it and think it's really cute and smart. the narration, on-screen text, the impromptu fantasy sequences... so imaginative. filling the Pushing Daisies-shaped void in my heart lol. I love that it's not afraid to just run with its telenovela origin and use it whole-heartedly -- like, oh my GOD the ending of the latest episode! the fuck was that!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jane herself is an incredible character and I love her relationship with her mother. it strikes me as a more realistic version of Gilmore Girls tbh. and I love getting to see so many latinx characters on tv! especially since I'm latina myself :D
