1) I’m the worst !!! It’s been a century since you sent me this message and I still don’t know what to answer ! I couldn’t reply immediately because I had to open my game to recall how I proceeded since I didn’t have used reshade for months, and when I finally had time to check I was confused because I didn’t find the tab I usually used in the settings interface ?? I wanted to take time to understand my issue before replying, and I forgot, and I still don’t know cause I’m a noob :( I really can’t reply from memory because I randomly changed the settings by manipulating all the buttons I could find... Sorry I hope you found your solution since then !
2) Hello ! Thank you so much for your very kind words, and sorry for the late reply ! No I’ve never worked in a museum ahah, but I enjoy visiting them :) I’ve asked to @brazenlotus about the missing paintings ! She plans to update them soon, but meanwhile she gave me the special permission to provide you the old download link : right here ! @kyta1702 from Design for sims seems to be inactive since June 2016, so I hope they don’t mind that I share here a download link of the two packages... all credits of the conversions go to them, and if anybody have any news from Kyta or know when I can find an other link, you’re welcome to tell me so I can update my post, because I don’t feel very comfortable with hosting someone else’s package. Also for the dancer figurine, it’s just a base game statue, don’t forget that we can size down everything now ! :)
3) Aw your message really makes me happy ! “literally all my life” tho, lol are you so sure about that ? Thank you ♥︎♥︎
4) Thank you Anon ! I’m afraid I don’t have any park projects in mind ! Here are some of my favorite parks : Le marché de Newcrest by @redhotchilisimblr, Magnolia Blossom Park by @martinessimblr, The poet’s retreat by @magnoliidae, Drive-In Movie Theatre by @oaksim
5) I’ve already tried to make a tutorial, but I’m so bad at it, I’m so slowwww it’s painful. Ugh the way I edit depends so much of the picture ! To give some clues basically what I do every time is to separate with a polygonal lasso the character from the background. Most of time I make my own background by playing around with the gradients tool. Then I go to Image > Adjustements and play around with the different tools (mostly “levels” and “Selective color”). For that step I ALWAYS have irl reference pictures to obtain similar colors and contrasts. For the lightings and shadowing, my method is to create a clipping mask applied on several layers (at least one for the shadow, one for the light), with the sim as the base layer (this way everything I do on these layers will only appears on the sim, which make things more comfortable) Then the gradient tool is my best friend. For exemple I select with the lasso the neck of the sim, set the gradient shades to black (opacity 100%)/transparent (opacity 0%), go to a clipping mask layer, and create a gradient on the part I’ve selected to obtain a shadow effect. Right after that, to make the shadow softer, I go to edit>fade and choose the result I want. I can also clean the gradient and give it a more precise shape thanks to the history brush tool, that I use very often. I often set up the style of my clipping mask layers to Multiply (only for shadows), Lighten (only for lights), or Overlay (for both), and set the layers opacity at my convenience. I don’t know if the things I say makes sense !
6) Ahah I wish Anon, I wish... I’m very flattered by this ask, but the day I’ll complete a world is probably never going to happen ! Thanks for the nice words ♥︎
