Starscream is/was heir to vos, but nobody knows because he transitioned (ftm) and changed his name when he joined the Decepticons
Starscream, being heir, was raised extremely strictly + his mom SUUUCKED when she went missing (presumed dead) he (kinda??) ran away. not like really but went out of the public eye nd all that. The fic starts out with like. a ping on an energon scanner. it's a stasis pod. inside is. guess who? starscream's mother. she doesn't recognize him because. y'kniw. he transitioned.
she gets added to the decepticon ranks, despite starscream's protests, (everyone kinda realizes that he knows her personally, but she doesn't seem to know/remember him)
Nobody *likes* her, but she's.. useful.
She's esp mean to starscream. shit like 'that is *no* way for a seeker to stand, do you have *any* self-respect?!' etc etc. just a huge aft to him in particular
i have a notes doc that's almost four pages alr even though i started it a few hours ago. it's got more info abt this on it, it doesn't follow any canon timeline specifically, im just playing with dolls here
