Christian’s during slavery didn’t support freedom of enslaved black folk… so… am I supposed to believe that they weren’t wicked hateful racists? Cuz they were. If you don’t support something, it’s BECAUSE you have been CONDITIONED to hate them. You may think you just “””hate the sin””” but that’s the brainwashing at work. Stupid bitch.

I’d say those weren’t real Christians if that’s the case. The Bible is clear on being anti-slavery.

• Old Testament slavery was not race based forced servitude; it was voluntary means of working off debt.

• Slave trading is condemned in the Bible and is punishable by death in the Old Testament.

Exodus 21:16 Anyone who kidnaps someone is to be put to death, whether the victim has been sold or is still in the kidnappers possesion.

• The Bible teaches that all are made in the imagine of God: slave and master equally human, protected, and one in Christ

Deuteronomy 23:15 If a slave has taken refuge with you, so not hand them over to their master. Let them live among you wherever they like and in whatever town they choose. Do not oppress them.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave for free, nor is there male and female (do not twist this part of the verse to fit a narrative; if you’d like me to dive deeper and explain it I will) for you are all one in Christ.

I know I have MANY black brothers and sisters in Christ who are Christian’s themselves. I love all people and would never hate anyone, especially not based off of the beautiful skin color God chose for them, and to do so is a sin.

Honestly Max felt like a filler character, there's been a few nice moments but like you said, it was mostly because we enjoyed other characters showing a different side around him, it's such a shame too honestly, since he could have been rad! The casting was pretty odd as well, he looks nothing like Alec or Izzy, while the both of them could actually pass as irl siblings as far as I'm concerned haha, too bad tbh, imagine the POTENTIAL, yet another messed up Lightwood to enjoy...

Yeah, the uncanny likeness that Maryse, Alec and Izzy share doesn’t help with that feeling of, idk, disconnect with Max perhaps (just like Robert’s height doesn’t explain Alec’s towering presence lol), but I also don’t think the writers did him any favours, tbh! Maybe I’m judging him unfairly and Jack just nailed the moody, ungracious kid a little too well for this mother-of four to find him lovable (😂) but he somehow remains one of those SH characters that hasn’t left an impression on me - and considering he’s a Lightwood, that’s sad to admit! 🤷

He's ready when she grabs him. Ready for her fingers in his hair and ready for the hungry kiss she meets him with. Fingers digging into the flesh of her thighs, he grins, rolling his hips so she can feel just what she's doing to him; no disillusions or pussy footing for either of them.

This is the culmination of tension that's been building for a while but he's not going to let it just explode and be done. No, he has every intention to let it burn deep and slow between them until they're both exhausted and thoroughly THOROUGHLY satisfied. So no matter how tempted he is to spin her around and pin her to the wall two,three or ten times, he doesn't.

Instead he pulls back, pressing his forehead to hers as they both try and catch their breath, pulling back only enough to discourage her when she leans to kiss him yet again.

"I gotta know you want this, no regretting when you're sore in the morning, right?" He was only half serious, but there was that part of him that almost dreaded the answer.
