As a very naive fan, let me implore you. Taylor likes to leak stories to the press. She enjoys bringing people down indirectly. She'll write a song and never reveal the persons name but leaves a lingering trail of evidence to almost certainly declare who the person is. BUT THAT IS NOTHING. As Calvin said, she DOES like to bury people. She/her TEAM do leak negative stories about others (100%). So yes, Taylor does do things indirectly and even Calvin knows how much her team love to play the media
“she’ll write a song and never reveal the person’s name but leaves a lingering trail of evidence to almost certainly declare who the person is.” you’re absolutely right, but it’s honestly only because her relationships have been so public and in the face of all of us. her earlier songs- we (or maybe just me) don’t know who white horse is about, or you’re not sorry, or even the famous you belong with me. bc her exes were not someone famous, even if she puts an astonishing amount of evidence, we’ll never know, it’s always her way of writing and it’s too bad that lyrical honesty (which many musicians apply in writing anyway) has a lot of downside considering she is that famous and dates famous people as well. personally, i won’t say it’s “burying” since pop stars do write songs about their former love (jb about selena, selena about jb) and jb&selena are still selling so much records, etc. and thank you for your message x
