Marty stood at the edge of the pier, tying up his laces, leaning against the palm tree waiting for Buffy with two tickets in his hand he had been saving up for a whole month just to afford them, he couldn't wait to Acer the track star in person, when she suddenly appeared pulling him from out of his thoughts

“Finally she arrives” he laughs and Buffy rolls her eyes but gives in to a quaint smile

“Well if it weren’t for this stupid boot i would have been here faster” she groaned, sitting down on the sandy beaches quite heavily she was super exhausted and having a giant lock on her foot didn’t really help either but she was super stocked for tonight

“And who told you to get it checked out” Marty smiled softly

“Now is not the time for i told you so” Buffy rolled her eyes and shoved him

“Ah but it so fun” he laughed

“Cmon 11.5”

“That's a new one” Marty laughed

“Haha lets go” Buffy moved forward tripping in pain, Marty ran over

“Hey are you okay” he caught her

“Yeah yeah i'm fine” she said she grabbed his elbow trying to stand up but she fell back doen to the ground

“But will miss the track show” Buffy sighed and tried to get up again

“Your health is more important than some show” Marty sat down beside her

“But you saved up for like ever and now our date is ruined”

“Not completely ruined” he smiled he had an idea

“Haha that makes me feel so much better” but despite her best efforts she gave him a small smile

“ i be right back..” Buffy interrupted him “Wait where are you going and what with that look on your face”

“Dont worry” he shouted running off to the food stand and racing back with two burgers and tater tots “ I know their not as good as the spoons but”

“They will do” they smiled at each other

“And oh here your extra napkins”

“You remembered” she chuckled

“Of Course I did” she smiled and kissed him on the cheek laying her head on his shoulder and there they sat eating tater tots, watching the waves flow and just enjoying each other company this was the best date ever
