You and Kian have been together ever since Grade 12. You graduated high school together then ended up living together in California.

You decided to continue on to college studying medicine and soon become a doctor. While Kian decided to continue on with his career.

Lately you have been falling out with Kian. He wasn’t always around and same goes for you. You were always at uni and he was always filming, going around US for work, or on set and everything else.

Everytime you would be together you would always fight. Even about the smallest things. And you can’t help but think that your relationship is coming to an end.

This makes you scared since you didn’t really think it through and you always thought that Kian was your future. You always felt that he was the one.

You were at home alone working on your studies. You still had 3 more years before you’re finally a doctor. It would take you a long time to get there but you were willing to work hard for it.

You suddenly heard your door open and you didn’t bother checking since it was obviously Kian. You were waiting for him to come to the living room where you were. Hoping that he knew you were here.

It felt foreign to see both you and Kian at home at the same time since your schedules never matched.

“Hey.” Kian said softly coming in to the living room sitting at the sofa across you. “Hi.” You say not really knowing what to say.

There was a 5 minute awkward silence between you. You were reading your book trying to avoid his stare. You were thinking that he was already too impatient to wait for you. And you felt as if he’s being held back by you.

With this you decided to speak up.

“Kian we need to talk.” You say sitting up closing your books and putting them aside. “Yah. I know.” He says then removing his denim jacket and focused on you after.

“Look I know you’re getting bored of waiting for me. I’m sorry. I understand if you want to break up with me. You don’t have to wait for me. I know you want to explore and do more thing and I wish I could do them with you. Trust me I do. But I’m sorry I can’t just give up my studies. I love you and I don’t want to end things between us but if you feel like you need or you want to. I’ll understand. I’m sorry if I made you wait for me. I’m sorry that I’m holding you back.” You say letting everything out and biting my your lip trying your best not to let out tears.

There was a short pause.

“Y/N I’m sorry.” He says. Another pause. You didn’t know if you were supposed to say anything but he suddenly talked. “I’m sorry for making you feel like I’m not satisfied with what I have. I’m sorry for always fighting. I guess I felt like we were falling out. But no. No. No we’re not babe. Please. Please don’t think that I wanna leave you. I don’t care if you still have to study for another 10 years or something because babe. You’re all I want. You’re not holding me back babe. Don’t ever feel like you’re holding me back or anything babe. How could I have been so blind. I’m sorry for making you feel this way. I love you and I’m willing to wait.” He says.

You both were out of words. But you suddenly stood up rushed to him and kissed him. You missed his lips and his scent.

After this you spent the entire night together catching up. And it felt great to know that he was still there with you. Making you feel alive.
