You know, I wasn't going to talk about this because people get all meh about it. I am going to now though anyway so-
“People who create “sexual” ASMR content aren’t really ASMRists because ASMR isn’t sexual/can’t be sexual.” While a few months ago I agreed with this, and I still can understand where people come from with this, but just because an ASMRist creates a sexual ASMR video, doesn't mean it’s any less of an ASMR video, because it still is ASMR. Now I can’t stand the people who say ASMR is *strictly* something sexual that perverts can get off to on youtube/etc, because most of the time it’s not created for sexual purposes. I’ve listened to some of the “sexy” ASMR videos and they’re not even really all that overbearingly sexual at all, they still make me relaxed and I can drift off to sleep. Granted, there are some videos that seem that way but I tend to avoid those, not that they’re bad or anything, I just don't prefer them. I’ve recently come across an ASMRist who’s had to take their videos down because “they’re not ASMR if they’re sexual”, they literally stated that as the reason why. Just stop dragging people for creating different ASMR content, let people create whatever content they want, if you don't like it, then avoid it, not that hard to do tbqh.
