He’s done! I shall call him George, in honor of the rhino named George that I met, fed and petted (they like the soft parts in their folds petted) at the @hoglezoo a few years ago as payment for a commission they asked me to do. It was an amazing experience that has made me forever adoring of rhinos. I already loved them.. (one is a character in my first picture book I wrote) but there is an even bigger soft spot for these sweet and gentle creatures. I’m a little bugged that the anatomy was restricted by the butter dish aspect.. (his tummy needs to be curving down to be correct) but at the same time I love the utilitarian aspect of the sculpture. I hope I have the guts to use it, but my kids have a poor track record when it comes to keeping butter dishes intact. We’re on our third one in the past few years.. either way.. he’s not perfect, but I still love him!!! #pottery #sculpture #claysculpture #utilitariansculpture #butterdish #animalbutterdish #assignmentforartclass #demo #artteacher #animalart #rhino #rhinoceros #savetherhinos https://www.instagram.com/p/B3n5lXChe19/?igshid=1utrst6x2kvfb
