I just wanted to thank you for the time you took to answer my questions ;A; I was thinking about getting Pullip Peter Pan as she has a nice olive/brown skin tone but am not very much in love with her stock face up ^_^'' I feel much more confident getting her as she has a type 4 body and not 3! Thank you once again!
No problem! ^_^ I think it’s good that you’re going to go with a Type 4 body, especially if it’s your very first Pullip doll. :3 It’s definitely the least likely body type to have any issues. Pullip Peter Pan really does have a nice skin color and is really cute, especially when rewigged and redressed, but I can completely understand not completely loving a doll’s stock faceup. I actually gave one of my own dolls a bit of a makeover, myself, because I wasn’t very fond of her faceup, too, and once she was finished I loved her so much more! I hope that it will be the same for you if you do end up getting Pullip Peter Pan! ^_^
It's during this line: "Got a long list of ex-lovers," in which it sounds like "Starbucks lovers" lol
but it... doesn't though??? [sixty confused emojis]

Agreed. Folks need to stop comparing our intelligence w/ theirs. Some baby animals learn how to walk almost after birth! It takes more than 9 months for a infant to learn! And don't get me started on crows b/c they are so smart it's just amazing.
Yep, there are many different types of intelligence, and in some fields, human intelligence pales in comparison to that of other species (i.e., navigational intelligence of birds). Species of birds with precocial young can walk within hours of hatching, and the baby and mother talk to each other through the egg shell before the chicks hatch, and the chicks can recognize the voice of their mother upon hatching. Chickens understand object impermanence (if an object is removed, it continues to exist), which young human children do not understand. Studies are showing that chickens have empathy for one another. Some roosters have been known to use deception to get what they want. They'll use their "treat call" to call hens over for a treat when one doesn't exist, and then mate with the hens. However, if they do this more than once, the hens learn to avoid those roosters and ignore their treat calls. Chickens also can learn how to do a task, even in multiple steps, by watching another chicken do the task. I can also vouch that chickens recognize the individuals of other species. They react differently to my dogs versus unfamiliar dogs, and they react differently to me versus someone they don't know.
Yeah, corvids as a whole are just incredible! I used to raise crows, magpies, and tons and tons of scrub and stellar's jays. They're astonishing and way too much fun. :)
I highly recommend the book The Human Nature of Birds if anyone is interested in this topic! It doesn't talk much about chickens, sadly, but it's fascinating!

It drives me nuts that people believe that chickens, and other animals we consume, have no intelligence. Although our intelligence is different from theirs, they are just so freaking amazing and deserve more credit.
Same! I've had chickens for over 16 years now, I've spent nearly every day of those 16 years around them, and I've had at least a few hundred chickens (plus ducks, a goose, peafowl, a turkey, pheasants, quail, guinea fowl, a chukar, and so on) during that time. It so bothers me when people dismiss their intelligence or try to make claims about them when they barely know anything about them, because I know the truth about them from so many years of firsthand experience with them. Chickens (and other species of fowl) have so much personality and awareness, and, yes, they do have emotions, too. They have language with clear meanings that you can learn, and a complex social life. I wish everyone could know how amazing fowl are, as they're some of the most abused lifeforms on the planet, and they in no way deserve to suffer the way they do. They're so wonderful.
