ASTM A182 F1 ASTM A182 F1 Alloy Steel Forged Fittings & Flanges ASTM A182 F1 is a low-alloy steel grade […]
The ASTM A182 F1 grade is a low-alloy chromium-molybdenum steel material specifically engineered for forged flanges, fittings, valves, and high-pressure piping components used in moderate to elevated temperature and pressure services. It is manufactured in compliance with the ASTM A182 / ASME SA182 specification, ensuring robust performance and reliability in demanding industrial environments.
ASTM A182 F1 combines good mechanical strength, toughness, and ductility with excellent weldability and fabricability, making it suitable for applications where both strength and ease of fabrication are essential. The alloy’s composition — with chromium and molybdenum enhancements — offers improved resistance to oxidation and scaling at higher temperatures, as well as stable performance in steam, oil, gas, and petrochemical services.
This material is commonly supplied in a variety of product forms including forged flanges (weld neck, slip-on, blind, socket weld, threaded, lap joint), forged fittings (elbows, tees, reducers), bars, and custom forgings. These products are widely used in refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants, boilers, heat exchangers, and pressure piping systems where reliability under pressure and heat is critical.
